Excellent Ecuadorian restaurant with a view of the bay. They have a pretty big menu, but with rotating specials for breakfast, lunch and dinner. My favorites here are the encebollado (fish soup) or maremoto (seafood soup) for a super delicious brunch or one of their cooked specials like the Seco de Chivo (braised lamb and rice) or the Lengua Guisada (cow tongue braised in sauce)... and of course, for dinner, you can’t go wrong with the Arroz con Menestra with a choice of BBQ meat, so yummy with a dab of the hot sauce. Service here is always friendly, the food is hot and very reasonably priced at a prime location, great spot!! There are always locals here as well! I’d come back here in a heartbeat!

I really really really want to give Tropic Bird a five star review but I can't. The service is sooooo slow that it took 50 minutes to get a rice plate and a fried fish plate. Only one other table was waiting on food at that time. An hour wait for food when you're the only one is ridiculous. However, that fried fish was the best I've had anywhere in the Galápagos! You can taste the delicious oils, the fish was soft inside and salty, and it was a huge portion. If they could have got it to the table faster it'd be a perfect experience. Don't try the grilled fish here, it's not nearly as good. Just skip lunch here altogether.

Our guide recommended we come here for lunch for some well priced local food. A lemon juice, tuna soup, and ceviche with rice was $5 pp. this was extremely good value and delicious! Do not be put off by the basic decor as you walk past! If you have dietary restrictions be careful to check. We were told that the meal was gluten free but the soup had standard pasta in it. The owner apologised for this, and there was no issue with the ceviche. We would recommend coming here for an inexpensive but tasty local lunch.

I popped in here after a long, hot day of exploring, and it provided a peaceful, cozy spot from which to enjoy the bay view along with a tasty snack and a glass of wine. Kind and efficient service. Would definitely come here again and hope I get a chance to.

Best meal I had in Ecuador. The fish ceviches was glorious and the coconut juice divine. The place looks more simple amongst the more touristy alternatives but the food is fire. Don’t miss!

The food here is delicious. The menu del día is $5 and comes with a soup, the main entree, and a juice. The service is fast and friendly. No wonder all the locals come and eat here. We are here 2 times this week.
